A fairly common reaction I would gather, but definitely not 
universal.

Your quick response is that the boys and girls in GR are merely
automatons playing out their assigned roles in a cosmic drama beyond
any of our control. Therefore, NOT TO WORRY.

When _that_ fails, you draw back into your shell and TRY TO STOP 
WONDERING where our p-guy is coming from.

You finally end up saying, OH WHAT THE HELL.
