Down and Personal

[Joe Varo]

vjvaro (Joe), who is more of a lurker around these parts than an active 
participant, hails from Erie, PA, the wonderful Mistake-on-the-Lake.  
I've been here all my life, other than the 4 years I spent in college 
getting a degree in philosophy and english lit.  Having acquired all of 
this wonderful knowledge I went into the family moving & storage business 
and have been here ever since.

In college, Joe pretty much had his entire world-view turned upsy-daisy
upon reading Heidegger's _Being & Time_.  He still tries to keep up with
his philosophical readings, but when you're not in academia it's pretty
tough finding anybody with whom you can discuss the stuff.  
Joe discovered Pynchon about this time, also.

In his spare time, Joe has taught himself some Latin, number theory, 
abstract algebra, electronics and made an attempt at classical greek.
