Hi Chris,
I couldn't agree more about going it alone w/ M & D.  This is especially true for me since I 
will be reviewing it for a small literary magazine out here in SoCal (if I ever get a review 
copy).  In fact, I've already backed off of the list, primarily for the reasons you articulate.  
But also, I can't bring myself to quite--cut--the cord.  This list has provided some unique 
experiences, shall we say (soon to become even--more--unique, as some of you already 
know), and my feeling of comradeship w/ some listers is quite real.  I'm hoping to dance 
around M & D posts, but I think you're right in predicting a great irresistible flood 
somewhere around 4.30.97 (not to mention everybody trying to write in that wacky 
colonial idiom). I guess I'm not being too helpful in providing any of the advice and 
suggestions you request--actually, I'm really interested to see how you and others resolve 
the problem, then I'll follow your lead.
