Shortly after Pynchon-l moved to WASTE, and after some discussions with
Andrew, I started writing a keyword search engine for Pynchon-l. After
showing a beta to Murthy and Andrew several months ago, I set it aside for
a while to work on other things (like keeping WASTE running). This
weekend, owing to a strange dream I had about getting my copy of M&D a few
days early, I picked it up again and I'm to a point where I think it's
ready for some visitors.

So hop on over to the Pynchon-L homepage and try it out:

Feedback appreciated. And, as always, you can recommend your favorite
Pynchon links on the bottom of the page.

Features:
* Archives from Jan '92 to today, broken into months
* Monthly indexes sorted by date, author, and thread
* Full on-line hypertext format with threading
* Fast (about a second) multiple keyword search of the entire archive
* Search results are weighted, and include short extract

Fun things to search for:
* The "Koopman" Kaper
* Wanda and the Winking Turd
* Gilligan's cardinal virtue
* just about any old thing (except, disappointingly, the word "avuncular")
