Yes indeed. It inspired me to read all the Hardy Boy books that my
small-town library could find. Then in desperation I started on Nancy
Drew. (Only as an adult to learn that, of course, Carolyn Keene and
Franklin Dixon were one and the same.)
As I've noted before, it seems that anything I've admired in my life is
shared by one or more others on this very interesting list.
