I remember the series vaguely--receiving mail order ads to subscribe to
the books, and actually taking a couple out of the library.  My main
memory of the series, however, is that the books had some "hidden code"
that you could only read with some sort of filter that came with your
subscription--thus, I could never read the hidden messages in the
library books.  I was more a Trixie Belden fan, myself.
