The Freddy (the pig!) detective series was a favorite of my youth, but
I was disconcerted to read one (FREDDY THE DETECTIVE, I believe) that
had the porcine hero literally smoking out the villains with the aroma
of frying bacon!  (and no hint of irony either).

Gave me the fantods to think about it!
