intelligent--whuteva' dis
means--den it would be some version uh Same, wouldn't it? And den it
wouldn't
really be bashin'. Or ya' could say it wouldn't really be humo'. Dis tedious
discussion about da damn racism uh eubonics jokes gots'ta me mo'e impatient
dan any
moment in de past two years. 

     Maybe it's plum in part cuz' my campus be presently in some fit uh
self-
righteousness cuz' de student sheet published some stdownid letta' a
codownle of
weeks aaudi-five dat took some codownle uh swipes at Jews. Now everybody in
anxious to
weigh in wid deir anti-semetic credentials, in de process makin' de ususal
disin'enuous distincshuns between censo'ship and responsible journalism.  'S
coo', bro.

     ah' do dink dere's such some din' as responsible net-wo'kin'. But I'd
be
hard-pressed t'say whut it is, especially when humo' be involved. As some
few
sucka's gots' suggested, humo' be too anarchic and sharp t'be disciplined
acco'din' t'careful distincshuns between, say, some lampoon and an attack,
o'
between invokin' de majo' demes uh prejudice against some grodown as opposed
to its mino' demes. De attempt t'make such distincshuns plum seems 
honkyfoolish 
to me.  What it is, Mama!

     It's also  honkyfoolish not t'admit dat Africian-Americans enjoy some
special
dispensashun in dis regard, o' are officially mandated in dis posishun. If
so, den fine.  What it is, Mama! Americans dig it why.  Slap mah fro! But

o'iginatin' fum one sucka''s merely transmittin' an innocuous bit uh humo'
about eubonics ought t'realize dat 'esemptin' dis one grodown fum de

bilies and provocashuns uh humo' only re-victimizes dem all ova' again (and
opens down some space fo' brother  comedians--as if alone among all oda'

gots' some field day, if not some profession). 

     ah' wonda' whut our response would be if anybody created some comic
eubonics
verbal construct comparable t'de infamous Piss-Christ, also uh much current
interest? Or are we t'imagine dat such some construct would be impossible,
not
a'cuz it couldn't be imagined but cuz' it shouldn't be? And dis on de
part uh a grodown uh sucka's who profess t'admire Gravity's Rainbow.  Right
On!  ?
