Language, it's so "personal."  And "fickle."
About that Ebonics Bible translation, I recall that it WAS done, to some
degree, a couple years back.  Anyone got the lowdown on that?  I recall a
newspaper article about it which included some of the "translations."  Had
me laughing, and that's with NO DISRESPECT toward either African-Americans
or African-American "culture."  It's just some of the "translations" were,
shall we say... awkward... and forced.  Can anyone enlighten us with some
examples?
