You make some very good points, but I don't see Spielberg or this movie
as "part of the problem."
I'm really trying to see your perspective here, with not enough luck.
Maybe there should be a better movie, or more heroic stories told, don't
doubt that at all. I didn't see Schindler as a hero, if anything I
thought he was a random force, just as much as Goeth randomly shooting,
or the jammed gun saving the old man, but maybe I read too much into it.
You are right, it is probably pointless to debate this here, so I will
shut up now. Thanks for info on Texaco, and the sources, I will
definitely be doing some reading, especially that Goldhagen.
