Apparently you are mistaken.  There were quite a few posts there saying 
in effect "well shit, I wish someone would explain exactly what we're 
allowed to laugh at."

Come on, dude, squeal about Henry in the Henry section of your 
dissertation, leave him out of mine.

Fuck that.  I would sooner die than have anyone even think I've read 
d'Souza.  Reading d'Souza, and admitting it, is sure proof of a 
thoroughly substandard central nervous system.  I have reached this 
conclusion by purely ad hominem reasoning, an example of the occasional 
validity of this mode, since I have observed with 100% consistency that 
anyone who cites d'Souza for any reason whatsoever is guaranteed to be 
someone I would leave a perfectly good saloon to avoid further 
conversation with.  If I want to read fascist, racist polemics disguised 
as social criticism or whatever, I'll stick with P.J. O'Rourke, so I will.
