This is my final take on pornography (I hope): It's a bad industry
that abuses (!) all concerned, the "bon apetit" magazine of the
prostitution industry. I believe in the fundamental virtue of
actual sex (see Wilhelm Reich, man of whose papers, I have been given
to understand, were burned by the US feds when he was thrown in
jail). I don't know what the prostitution industry used to be like,
but it looks nasty, violent, coerced without real alternatives. In
the photos that I have seen of old porno, I don't see the abused,
pained but otherwise unreal look that is in today's. I'm sure there
are exceptions, but most of today's direct to video porno movies
could be named "A Death Foretold". Sure, the ad industry and much of
the entertainment industry, sell sex, but (aside from many of the
models looking to skinny) the "talent" doesn't look abused. When I
was a kid, I created a photo montage on my wall; many of the pictures
were of women who I found attractive, but only one or two of 'em were
from a porno mag (I think it was Oui).
Steely, you're a man of the world. Ever been to Bangkok? You're not
gonna put down a city/industry that provides pleasure for so many
men; and puts rice on the table and a form of expression that should
be protected by first amendment rights, for so many working girls,
are ya? Now that I think about it, even if we thought these things
were wrong for the USA, wouldn't it be imperialistic of us to try to
return these people to being, once again, "the noble" Asian?
Enjoyed your list, Adam, (really! amusing and thought provoking) but
it was nothing like mine. No mention of my favorites. Photos of:
feet
drug-addict silicone life forms bursting at the seems (that stupid
slut)
lesbians (I imagine, yes even I have an imagination, pulling them
away from eachother, or not, and having one of'em)
nurses
school girls
stewardesses
any young woman tied-up (yeah, even the fat pigs deserve a good rape
once in a while)
you get the picture
