Rats, now I wish I had planned on attending.  I went last year, but my
Pynchon paper was shunted off to the side from the Cool Pynchon Section--as
was Bob McLaughlin's interesting Bakhtinian analysis of GR.  I was like a
child in an undersea playground, to paraphrase Jacques Cousteau. I found a
lot of the other sections laden with New Critical approaches (just bad
luck?) so I wasn't really planning on showing up, let alone presenting this
year.  Maybe if I would have had a new idea in the intervening twelve
months. . . .

Plus, last year, I neglected to drink a mint julep whilst in Louisvile.
Sure would like to rectify that.
