Not sure myself as I read it forty years ago. She was sexually active and

You would have had to have known her in 1966 to understand this, but I don't

I think you're right on the mark for the most part. Sexual attraction isn't
the same as acting out. I never used the word pedophilia and I never meant
to imply it and I think that those who are doing so are not being very
civilized.

And adolescent girls may be jailbait but some of them don't care. There are
some really cute adolescents in Southern California and when I lived there I
was more than once the object of very heavy flirting by girls in the 13-16
group who were just thrilled with the idea that I was an OLDER MAN and knew
BOB DYLAN! One of the Beach Boys, Carl, and his wife, Annie, arranged a
double-date with a 15-year-old girl who literally attacked me in the back
seat of their Rolls-Royce. I was fucking terrified and practically
stiff-armed her. Talk about embarrassing situations.
