The future of the list?

Regarding the above-referenc'd topick, I have to admit I've recently
considered unsubscribing to PL due to the noise Mr. Krafft complains of.
There've always been irritants (Koopman, pre-menstrual steely &c.) but
they were the exception. The ratio has definitely flip-flopped and it's
really a drag. I think folks should just think before they post, something
along the lines of "if somebody came up and told me this would I really be
all that interested?" Just a modicum of reflection would probably bring
the noise way down. 

If things don't improve, then I suppose moderation is the key.
