Note on Fritz Lang/Glenn Miller

Nice scene in Leslie Epstein's novel _Pandaemonium_ where all the great 
directors meet to commemorate another director who has fled Nazi Germany, 
including Fritz Lang who comments that the Germans could never recognize 
themselves in any of his films.  

also:
it's been claimed that Glenn Miller really died in the arms of a French 
prostitute, his demise changed so as not to affect American morale.
