I believe that Pynchon half-defines the term in the scene with Benny and
Geronimo at the Italian street dance when they are picking up the city
girls. I don't have my copy of V. with me but I remember the word was used
by Profane as a false surname when introducing himself and was interpreted
by one of the girls as lewd (or Profane).  It had to do with the use of the
verb "come" as in how long ago did you come to this country but was
supplied by Profane, with meanings related to orgasm, ejaculation and
ejaculate.
