Ooooooooweee.  Yes, a parabola, a rainbow.  And now I am seeing in my 
mind's eye an illustration in _The Golden Bough_ of a king or chieftain 
ejaculating, the semen turning to grain as it falls, seed to seed.  Such 
rituals were sometimes connected with the blood-sacrifice of the king.
