1) My wife informs me that Hedy Lamarr, who it seems was 
both an internationally acclaimed motion picture actress and
instrumental in advancing Anglo-American missile guidance
technology, was arrested for shoplifting a pair of knickers
sometime later in her career (cue Jane's Addiction video.)

Seems to me, if we were casting for _GR_,  Hedy would be the best possible choice to play Domina Nocturna in the disgusting Pudding drill episode.  No need to disguise Dutch whiteness with black wig, etc. 
She was the consummate brunette, at least in the movies.  Well, Ecstasy was even before MY time.

In a later shoplifting arrest, one of the items taken was Ex-Lax. Alas, by this time, all her Pointsmans had deserted her. (undoubtedly through death, not indifference)
