NYPL: Open-Mike Pynchon Imitator Contest (?) @ KGB

Wish I could get to NYC.  Got to be the same Melvin Bukiet that wrote the
very interesting novel _After_ that I'm currently reading. The book
provides a tour through the Zone that complements GR nicely. 

Among many pleasures in _After_ is a Syndicate with an unnamed baby-faced
mastermind who makes a profit buying things back for more than he sold
them for in an obvious homage to another of my favorite books.
