CBS sunday Morning M&D Review

Ref.: Mason Dioxin Review  

  I just saw a very good literary review for Network Television. The CBS
Sunday Morning show had a very pleasant review of  Mason & Dixon. Did
any one else happen to see it ?Does CBS have a WWW site where one could
read it in total? I caught it halfway through between the munching of
corn flakes and the din of children being forced off to church and
missed a few parts.

 On Another Note with a Pynchon touch:
 Have any members of the P-list heard  a strange story  out of the
Amazon /South America  about a tribe of  indigenous people who are
threatening that the tribe of 4000 will commit suicide if their national
government lets a mining companies or oil drilling  to take place in
there jungle home. They plant crops in among the trees and do not clear
cut the land and are worried about the desecration  of the sacred land .
I got this vague rumor from a friend that is active in the Peace Corps
and I was trying to track it down if it is real.
