curious about why you didn't "think much" of _Picture This_?

so much interesting content... i found Heller's musings on the nature of art and money quite fascinating. and his observation that the origins of "corporation", "stock", "insurance", etc which seem to be so dominantly important to our silly species at this point in time actually lay in the growth of the dutch herring fishing industry during the 15c certainly gave me pause for thought... and i found the characture of Plato gut-wrenchingly humorous. and the Pepys quote in the attribution ("the devil must shit dutchmen") priceless.

some interesting technical features too. a painting playing the role of protagonist was something i hadn't seen before. and the "recursive stuff" (for lack of a term) hearkened back, for me, to _C-22_ but without so much of the sarcasm (- maybe "fugue-ness" (a'la sirens part of _Ulysses) is better than "recursive stuff")...

anyways, in my corner of the universe, _Picture This_ nothing less than a mature masterpiece (critics be damned!).
