Yes, I liked Eyes Wide Shut.

But my question revolves around Spartacus:  did Kubrick want to make a 
statement about slavery and racism in the United States.  I think much of 
the movie could be translated as an attack on American hubris and arrogance 
in the late 50s-early 60s. Quite a somber tale for these kinds of 
action-adventure movie.
