Pynchon's Sister

Forgive me if I am repeating a familiar piece of Pynchonalia . . .
In the book KEEPING LITERARY COMPANY, Jerome Klinkowitz tells
about an evening he spent talking jazz with a group of writers.
Raymond Federman regaled the company with the story of how he once
played with Charlie Parker, and then -- Klinkowitz adds casually -- Thomas
Pynchon's sister chimed in with a story of her own.
Unfortunately, Klinkowitz does not include her narrative.
He does note that everyone at the table scrutinized her face,
looking for clues by which to recognize her brother.
I send this anecdote in order to offer the list a brief respite
from EYES WIDE SHUT.
Now back to Tom and Nicole . . .
