"Thesean brushings" -- Theseus is the hero who slew the Minotaur. (I was
just moved to read the legend of Theseus in Schwab's _Gods & Heroes_ --
it's just fascinating. The beginning of it sounded a lot like the
beginning of Nativity; "King Minos of Crete sent messengers to call for
the tribute due him every ninth year" -- okay so the parallel is not
exact...)
"Here's a medium shot..." -- In his movie of his life Pointsman is
played by Humphrey Bogart.
Re. my posting about P.'s analytical grasp of hes dream life, see p. 142
"This was the dream." et seq.
"A faces *he knows*" -- the Minotaur -- has P. ever seen Slothrop
before? (Either way it works) -- Also the Minotaur is Reichssieger von
Thanatz Alpdrucken.
