While Fowler also leans uncomfortably toward the pedophiliac reading, I
don't get the idea that he is actually lusting after young people, but
after the Lord Of the Night's children (49.27, 50.19).  Such are
children emotionally and psychologically (because of the trauma of
rocketblast and the erasure that is treatment), but not biologically. 
He's a psychospiritual pedophile, but his victims could be adults.

At the same time came the foxes unto Pointsman, saying, Who is the
