Christine Wexler, my ex-wife and collaborator on Lineland:
Mortality and Mercy on the Internet's Pynchon-L at Waste.Org
Discussion List, talks a bit at last about what she sees of
herself in some of the female characters in Gravity's
Rainbow, in a mini-interview that is an adjunct to my essay,
"Pit Bull Journalism: Why Does the American Press Hate Joyce
Maynard?" now appearing at http://www.BlueEar.com

Please direct your flames to me at jsiegel at acnet.net, as
neither of us is a subscriber to pynchon-l. I will pass them
along to her and, if she chooses to respond, send you her
answers. I urge the trigger happy to exercise
self-restraint, as all bomb threats will be turned over to
the FBI this time around.

You will all be happy to know that Lineland is now a part of
the Museum of Modern Art's Artists Books collection.

Hoping you are all well and having lots of fun.

Chris Karatnytsky still hasn't sent me her remarks at last
year's London Pynchon festival, even though I believe she
agreed to do so when she asked me to cooperate in helping
her prepare her talk. Doesn't respond to my notes about this
either. Is she all right?
