Chrissie talks about Jessica Swanlake, et al.

I took the time to read Chrissie's "mini-interview"; it's unfortunate to
see Jules still trying so hard to besmirch TRP's reputation -- grudges and
a desire for revenge just don't fade away, I guess.
I can't decide which is the lowest cut:
--trashing TRP's personal appearance (Jules continues to hit hard on that
point, as he has in all of his published references to TRP that I've read;
previously it's been TRP's teeth, now it's his hair and wardrobe);
--calling TRP a "conservative Republican from Oyster Bay" (given the
strong, anti-fascist politics of TRP's writing, this insult seems
especially nasty);
--suggesting that he might be a government agent "protected by some kind of
intelligence agency" (see parenthetical, above).
Doubly unfortunate, if this is an indicator of what Jules and Chrissie had
to say about TRP when interviewed for the documentary film production that
is supposedly in process about TRP. It's too bad that this kind of
uncorroborated personal attack continues to worm its way into the public
record about TRP, there to be quoted by future journalists.
Also, in disavowing the possibility, Jules seems to invite us to read
Cleanth Siegel as TRP's portrayl of Jules Siegel in "Mortality and Mercy in
Vienna" (not exactly a flattering comparision), and he clearly invites us
to read Jeremy (Nutria) as Jules Siegel in GR (since Jules seems to be
arguing that Jessica is Chrissie, so Jeremy would be Jules). And
Chrissie's role in GR seems to be expanding -- now she's Jessica, Katje,
and Bianca.
Thankfully, TRP has produced a body of work that stands on its own, no
matter what personal sniping might dog him.
