EXHIBITION*. Ho-lee shit...700 pieces from Bellmer, Cornell, Dali,
Magritte, Carrington, Masson, Tanguy, etc., etc., etc. (unfortunately,
there was nothing by our dear friend Remedios Varo, although they did have
some illustrated books authored by her hubby Benjamin Peret on
exhibit...).
The exhibition catalogue is unbelievable and makes for a nice companion
piece for reading Pynchon, at least in setting a mood. An edition of GR
illustrated by Hans Bellmer would have been quite something, at least on
par with Rockwell Kent's MD illustrations.
