Doug is right and I apologize. What I thought was a gratuitiuos insult
directed against readers who do not find ultimate meanings in P's novels was
in fact, as Doug convincingly argued off-list, a reference to a previous
post of his in which he dealed with the kryptosam episode. I hadn't payed
attention to that post and slap myself on the pate for once again having
failed to prove a careful reader.
