Whoa--when were you 13/14? In what years, may I ask? Apparently, all
of the acid I consumed--quite a bit more than my share, I don't mind
admitting--must have been weaker than yours, b/c in all the trips I
took, I never once "hallucinated" as you describe. Incredibly
heightened senses of awareness, and clarity and understanding, I
experienced, but never once visited other planets or saw trees turn
into giants. I, I, somehow, feel cheated in a way. I will also say
that my gang of 8 and I never tripped alone, we always had a "control"
person with us, and I never once tripped by myself (my gang had pretty
much the same expereince as I did). But I also never had a Saure
Bummer trip, either, and always enjoyed the ride. I never once wanted
to do a Art Linkletter's daughter thing, or hurt myself, or any one
else, although I do understand how some foax with a certain mindset
could get to that point. To me, at the time and now, years later, I
found LSD to be a very life-affirming experience, although I'd be
hard-pressed at the moment to say exactly why. Had a hell of a lot of
fun, too. Although I did go see the Led Zep movie while on acid when
it came out, and while I was tripping, I knew exactly what "Stairway"
meant. Next day--gone. (_The Omen 2_ was pretty funny in this
altered state, too).

Tripping gaily once upon a time,
M.
