I also noted the similarity between the two scenes.  They are both a sort of 
"culinary terrorism,"  and of course have their kinship with the "surprise" 
dishes of Old Pudding, who of course was the author of this dinner's 
Counterforce strategy.

No great illumination, here, but the heart of the Kazoo Quartet is 
_subversion_, which is why it was suppressed.  It's intended to upset 
expectations and even hints at, and tries to get the listener's ears attuned 
to, that Secret Sonifeous Aether.  I think those Inner and Outer Voices are 
also meant to suggest a communication with the Beyond, like a séance.
