Well I reckon the Japanese are about as native to CA as are any other
non-Amerind residents; they certainly have a large role in the state's
history, in the 20th c. at any rate. A "California feast" would needs include
Japanese, Chinese, Vietnamese, Hmong, Mexican, Salvadoran, Portuguese
cuisines, among many other immigrant groups.
