NP--The Family

Saw a 1970-71 film called The Family about the Manson murders. What struck
me was the apparent vision of the filmmaker--a straight critic of the
counterculture: a desert scene, a rock concert, naked bacchinalia, etc, a
shot of sharon tate (in color) dancing a waltz, a scharwzkammando
mis-en-scene depicting marauding blacks in berets.
The flick really isn't about Charlie at all. It's quite bad but intriguing.
