No, it's just another commercial strategy. Eminem is certainly important to
his record label and the multinational corporation that owns it and the
various radio, TV, concert and print venues that promote him. Follow the
money and follow his rap: Thomas's insight re Eminem targeting the system's
victims is a good one. Eminem is a tool and defender of the system that
Pynchon, Zappa, and other honest artists attacked and kept themselves apart
from to the greatest possible degree.
