Here, I think, we've got "permanent residents" (i.e.,
those who hold those so-called Green Cards) and
migrant workers. Along with a plethora of national,
racial and ethnic slurs ("wetbacks" et al.). And, of
course, we used to have slaves, but, institutionally,
at least, that's been abolished (structurally, well
...). Very interesting. Gotta go, will be back ...
