A friend of a friend once said she's never want to be
in a Sam Raimi film because the camera tneds to be the
star (this was pre A Simple Plan, of course, and, of
course, it's not like Raimi's people were calling her
people or anything, so ...) ...

But don't forget the mighty ...

Campbell, Bruce. If Chins Could Kill: Confessions
   of a B-Movie Actor. NY: St. Martin's, 2001.

Which is chock full o' great anecdotes--not to mention
hand-drawn diagrams--of just how those cinematogrpahic
acrobatics were performed. Eminently entertaining,
AND Mr. Campbell (as I like to call him) was kind
enough to sign a stack o' the things for me to send to
various interested parties ...

See also the French film, Le Patinoire (The Ice-Rink),
which not only stars BC as the American star of a
hockey film shot entirely on ice, but also features
David Bowie's very great "I'm Not Losing Sleep." I
neglected to ask, but I'm almost positive that he
doesn't actually understand a damn thing being said to
him ...
