  would say so. a couple of weeks ago (but this is so long ago now) we were,   
  again, talking here about "hyper-graphicity" in pynchon's prose, and i     
  suggested that m&d's old-timery spelling is, in this regard, an equivalent to 
  the drawings and images in trp's first three books. relaxes the eyes while   
  talking to you on another level ~ kfl
