"Writing well" is a subjective judgement, no point in
arguing about personal taste. What does "writing well"
mean, in the end, except that the writing pleases one
reader according to one set of criteria while it might
not please another reader judging by other criteria.
There's no objective standard by which to evaluate
literature.
