No chance for ambiguity there.  

In the German translation Pynchon is explicit, categorical, definite, 
specific, 
entirely clear and unambiguous. Imagine that! 

I think I agree with Maria, P's Spanish is probably pretty good. His
German, we know, sucks. 

Thinking in Spanish/English  now, we have explicate or unfold.
