Correction: he almost ran over Sasha and Frenesi in a fit of petulance but
he hadn't yet found out about Brock.

A few questions arise:

How does Frenesi get into the Witness Protection scheme? And why does she
agree to it? Why does she marry Flash? In what ways does Frenesi's "work"
compensate the government for both her stipend and Zoyd's "disability"
cheque (i.e., her daughter's share of the stipend)? Is she in effect paying
Zoyd alimony? What were the terms of the "deal" she must have made with
Brock which resulted in him agreeing to stay away from her?

Though these *causes* are undocumented the *effects* are presented in the
text, so it's fair game to ponder how these things might have come about.
