Anti-German for newbies

I think this paranoia about the destruction of the state of Israel is the significant and successful propaganda campaign. You would thing that Palestinians were taking Israeli land, that Israelis were being walled into Ghettos where the Israeli army can storm in and rob the banks and kill whoever they please without legal process. I am not projecting "innocence " on the Palestinians, but the Sharon policies, aligned with the imperial control strategies of the American Empire are monstrously self serving and fascistic. Many Israelis are as passionately opposed to these policies as those you designate as leftists. If Justice is on the left side of some magic line then I am a leftist. The designation of political wings are mostly a mostly a stupid and useless means of name calling and a means of deflecting an argument from real facts and ideas.
. Taking land and political rights from the 1000 year inhabitants of a place based on what your tribal god told your ancestor hundreds of generations ago is hard to justify as an untaintedly just cause , nor is a book written by Jews a reasonable basis for settling real estate disputes with non Jews..

destruction."
This is so off the track that it's just ridiculous.<
Sorry Otto, I am tempted to argue about this.
I harbour little sympathy for so Anti-Germans, yet I see some truth in your
quotation. Even the supposedly neutral "Tagesschau" TV-news from the
federal TV-network ARD, has a significant pro-palestinian bias in it's
reporting. I only came to realise this after visiting Israel AND the
Westbank some time ago. Issues looked significantly different on the
ground, than in the german media. It was quite a shock to me. There is
some long-time palastinian propaganda going on, trying to establish the
image of a palestine people tortutred in the hands of zionist madmen and
abandoned by the rest of the world. It began with all this PLO
merchandising in the seventies, and profits from some unreflected leftist
ideology (p-listers excluded)that established itself as "intellectual" in
the last decades. Some of the brighter palestinian leaders have learned to
benefit from this victim image and shurely have some phantasies like this
quotation above.
Anyway, I don't believe they will succeed, for they act much too stupid on
the ground, and have learned nothing about coordination and the finer
skills of psychological warefare.
best,
Christian.
I agree with Christian in this point. Although I know some of these Anti-German guys personally and cannot like them - they are hardly bearable, they remind me at the polit-sects in the seventies -, in this point -concerning the one-dimensional tv reporting in the German media - they are right.
