Snow Crash is awful, right down there with Ender's
Game in the LCD-flattering SF atakes.  Cyberpunk
pixzza delivery boy?  Saving the universe via video
games?  But the Diamond Age, and, esp., Cryptonomicon
are much, much better.  Though I STILL ahven't much
gotten far in the (now) trilogy ...
