Unfilmable novels

We needn't include Michael Mann.  

We'd like this film to be a good one.


   But: why only 1 director, 1 musician? I think, we need a bunch of them, let's say, scorsese to start with the first 50 pages, then michael mann, and yes, greenaway would be a good idea, too. - that would be more appropriate
