well... See the second half of the paragraph: "Could it be that Blicero's
eyes... are for Thanatz reflecting the past?",
that answers my original question. Imagine that... Pynchon provides the
answer in the text. lol.
This, however, palys right into the cinematic nature of GR so well... the
amazing hot air balloon pie-fight... the top-of-the-train-car fight... the
octopus... the whole casino section... the musical "numbers" all very
cinematic which reminds me of the film discussion going on in another
thread, where a GREAT essay was linked. The essay is all about film and
calculus in GR... good stuff.
