i kissed thomas pynchon (I think?)

eric foner defines
wharfinger as a sailor left in port
by his erstwhile slaver, diseased and
liable to infect the crew
and good gravy, the cargo.

driblette in his shower
notes Wharfinger was only
spinning a yarn,
he (driblette) gave the words flesh
(who's projecting what world..))

so is pynchon (hehe) the diseased sailor spinning
the wax here
and we're driblette--
making that wharfinger's yarn real?

or is pynchon simply driblette

making real what those beautiful,
diseased drunken sailors
sweated, humped and cried
all those years in innumerable bars, beds
and snow drop prisons across the globe?

i'd say both and neither
lot 49 is that kinda book, eh?
