however the p-wiki Quixote allusion to this section may pally (or not), I think one layer of meaning is in the tradition of satirizing supposed spiritual folk with insight........

  I might suggest this is P savaging "drug-epistemologies" [GR] as paths to truth...........
  Along with all the other false paths/traditions in this section.........................
   
  The real Shambala is a piece of land where sheep can graze (as was pointed out by Dave, I think)....and where that fact is overlooked...............(I am reminded of the tripped-over picnic
  basket that Miles stumbles over early in AtD......)
   
  I might suggest TRP suggests that we miss the real shambalas in our life.....................
