Atdtda29 begins with Ch57 (806-820) and continues with the first half or
thereabouts of Ch58 (821-836), a series of meetings and departures, or
comings and goings.

A key moment is provided by the map Theign gives to Cyprian and Bevis in
57.1 (806-807; "a toy", according to Cyprian on 806).

In Ch57 Cyprian and Yashmeen share the narrative until Cyprian departs, to
be replaced by Vlado Clissan.

Ch58 returns to Cyprian as he travels with Bevis to Sarajevo and beyond;
they share the narrative until Bevis disappears to be replaced by Danilo
Ashkil.

The appearance of Danilo leads to an alternative history of the region;
according to Danilo, "history does not take place north of the forty-fifth
parallel" (828), all of which reminds us of Ratty's "Bosnian pickle" (808),
not to mention Theign's map. The writing of history is a function Danilo
shares with Vlado.

Elsewhere, popular culture in the form of dance music ("a lively two-step
currently sweeping civilised Europe") is juxtaposed to classical
literature's take on history. There are references to Shakespeare and Elgar,
the latter a perfect example of Deleuzuan repetition/difference on 815.
