Help please (try #3)

The flashlight is the sun.  The orange is the earth.  The raisin is  
the balloon above the earth.  The toothpick is the basket part of the  
balloon (I'm not so sure about this one - it might be some kind of  
receiver going upwards).

Whatever is the highest point will get dark last.  Whatever is the  
lowest point will get dark first.   So the rising balloon will get  
dark last (unless the toothpick is something on top of it)   and  the  
earth will get dark first.   ("As above, so below"  seems not to be  
applicable, imo - because the "as above" is becoming like the "as  
below.")
