I went to the rare books room and I asked if they had a copy of
"Meritorious Price', but they didn't. In fact, the gentleman in that
room's info hotseat said he was stumped, never heard of William
Pynchon. I got out of Powell's with a clutch of Starhawk's books.
Looks like she's big stuff in Portland. She has nice things to say
about Portland's grass roots "City Repair" movement in her latest book:
